A sign of hope for Anglicanism: Burundian and Canadian provinces continue joint activities, oppose border crossings

The Anglican church of Burundi opposes same-sex marriage. The church of Canada is considering it, and several of its Dioceses clearly support same-sex marriage. Other African provinces have engaged in border-crossing, having ordained priests in Canada or having poached Canadian churches that have defected.

However, Anglican Journal reports that Canada and Burundi are increasing their mission-related ties. They have also agreed that there will be no unauthorized border crossings between their churches.

I believe Jesus calls us to work with those with whom we disagree.
